About the role:
As an Animator, you will create high-quality animations for various projects, working with both keyframe and motion capture techniques. You will be expected to have a solid grasp of animation principles and a growing understanding of facial animation, particularly FACS-based systems. Additionally, you will be involved in documentation processes, helping streamline workflows and tools in collaboration with the tech team. This role requires strong independence and time management, especially when working remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Animate characters using keyframe and motion capture workflows.
- Bring animations to life within our production pipeline—handling everything from motion capture cleanup using constraints, aux. effectors, etc.
- Document processes, techniques, and best practices to support team efficiency.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to project planning and time estimation
- Work independently and remotely while maintaining communication and meeting deadlines.
Requirements:
- Professional experience using MotionBuilder and Maya.
- Solid understanding of keyframe animation principles and their practical applications.
- Experience with motion capture animation workflows.
- Basic knowledge of FACS for facial animation and lipsync.
- Ability to create clear documentation for animation workflows and tools.
- Familiarity with project management software such as FPT.
- Keen eye for detail with a commitment to quality.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills, especially in a remote working environment.
- A willingness to take initiative and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Portfolio demonstrating both keyframe and motion capture animation work.
- Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity is a plus.
