3D Animator

Job Description

C2’s client, a video creation company that helps corporations captivate their audiences by mixing a documentary style with on-brand messaging, is searching for a 3D animator to add depth and dimension to their visual storytelling. In this role, the animator will receive a script or direction from a producer, working with 3D models and animation software to bring stories to life through engaging and dynamic animations. He/she will be expected to ensure high-quality 3D animations that meet both the creative vision and the technical requirements, all while staying within the project’s deadline and budget.

Start date: As soon as they find the right person
Duration: Approximately 30 hours per week, starting ASAP to work on a 2-3 week project
Location: Remote - must have solid internet connection and hardware - Mac or PC ok
Compensation: $35-$60//hour commensurate with skills and experience,

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality 3D animations and models for various projects
• Rig and animate characters, ensuring smooth motion and adherence to the creative vision
• Create and apply textures, set up lighting, and execute rendering processes to achieve visually appealing results
• Collaborate with the post-production team to integrate animations seamlessly into final projects, utilizing Adobe After Effects for compositing when necessary
• Maintain a strong understanding of compositing and post-production workflows to enhance animation quality
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in 3D animation techniques and tools
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of quality

Requirements:

• Highly proficient in Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D,
• Robust portfolio showcasing 3D animation and 3D modeling skills
• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for post-production tasks
• Experience in rigging and character animation, demonstrating an understanding of movement and anatomy
• Strong skills in texturing, lighting, and rendering to create immersive visual experiences
• Basic understanding of compositing and post-production workflows
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong creative vision
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate ideas clearly
