👹 Character Design

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Sensus AI - FZCO is seeking a senior stylized 3D character generalist or a specialist studio to create production-ready assets for Lumi, the feline companion in Tabimi.

This is a remote, project-based contract. The scope covers one character with one base outfit and its props: an editable master, production rig, and mobile-ready derivatives. The estimated production period is 12 weeks, subject to the agreed plan.

WHAT YOU WILL DELIVER

- An editable Blender master, high-poly sculpt source files, clean topology, UVs, PBR materials and textures, and editable grooming.

- Body, face, and tail rigging, controllers, weights, necessary shape keys, and test poses or short clips demonstrating deformation quality.

- Mobile-ready USDZ and GLB assets derived from the same master, with asset-side support for iPhone import and playback checks.

- Organized source files, export instructions, dependency and third-party asset disclosures, and clear version records.

SCOPE BOUNDARIES

This project includes rig-validation clips. A full production animation library, additional outfits, and video-sprite deliverables are outside the current scope. Our engineering team owns application code and integration; you support asset-side validation.

SKILLS WE NEED

- End-to-end production experience with stylized feline or other quadruped characters.

- Sculpting, retopology, UVs, materials, grooming, hair-card or equivalent runtime conversion, rigging, and mobile optimization.

- Strong character likeness and visual quality, including appealing eyes, fur, and fabric, with dependable face, body, and tail deformation.

- Blender production and delivery experience, PBR workflows, and USDZ/GLB export. ZBrush may be used as a supporting tool; Blender Python experience is a plus.

- Reviewable work-in-progress files, clear communication, and traceable revisions.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR APPLICATION

- At least one relevant stylized feline or quadruped case study, with your exact contribution identified.

- Final images and production breakdowns covering topology, materials, grooming, runtime hair conversion, and rig or deformation tests.

- Mobile asset delivery examples, where available.

- Your availability and proposed project-based pricing approach. Studios should identify the lead artist and the people responsible for each part of the work.

Please share only portfolio material you have permission to disclose. Keep prior-client confidential source files private.

PROJECT FEES AND PROCESS

Portfolio review is followed by an NDA, the full project brief, a same-scope quote, and a joint founder/engineering interview. Detailed character references, numerical asset budgets, pipeline requirements, and acceptance criteria are shared after shortlisting and the NDA.

The final project fee, settlement currency, payment milestones, and start date will be agreed in the contract. Visual quality and technical delivery are reviewed together.
