Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, optimized vegetation assets (trees, bushes, grass) using SpeedTree;
- Model and texture accurately according to their species and natural characteristics;
- Ensure assets meet technical and visual requirements for real-time engines (e.g., LODs, wind animation, lightmaps);
- Understand and interpret concept art and environment briefs precisely;
- Collaborate with environment and level design teams to integrate foliage seamlessly into game worlds;
- Work with technical artists to maintain performance and consistency across platforms;
- Contribute to world-building by shaping the natural look and feel of in-game environments.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of strong experience with SpeedTree for Games;
- Solid understanding of real-world vegetation types and forms;
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop);
- Familiarity with PBR workflows and optimization techniques;
- Ability to quickly learn the game engine as needed;
- Ability to interpret and translate concept art into functional assets;
- Understanding of LOD systems, wind animation, and lightmap preparation;
- A good eye for natural composition and environmental storytelling;
- English B1+ (speaking).
