Home-Based Pre Press Production Artist

The DCX Client Services - Home-Based Pre Press Production Artist will provide support to our partner through day-to-day graphic support. You will be responsible for designing mockups, vectorizing logos, and producing presentation decks from their initial concept through to their final delivery. The production artist must be very collaborative and have excellent problem-solving abilities, all while maintaining consistency and the original brand look throughout the process.

• In-depth experience and an established track record in artwork design and finalization, with great attention to detail     

• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines  

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with a dynamic range of people 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Typesetting & Page Layout

• Create and adjust production-ready layouts using approved artwork and client content.

• Apply strong typography principles including hierarchy, kerning, tracking, alignment, and spacing.

• Ensure text formatting, fonts, and layout structures align with brand standards and print specifications.

• Prepare multi-page documents, forms, inserts, labels, and promotional materials with precise layout control.

• Execute revisions to copy, formatting, and layout based on client or internal feedback.

Pre-Press File Preparation

• Prepare and finalize artwork files for production across multiple print methods (digital, offset, screen print, embroidery, and large format as required).

• Verify files meet production specifications, including:

  • Correct color modes (CMYK, spot colors, PMS)

  • Proper image resolution

  • Bleed and trim settings

  • Safe areas

  • Font embedding or outlining

• Perform preflight checks to identify and resolve potential production issues before files enter manufacturing.

• Convert and adapt client-supplied artwork into production-ready formats when necessary.

Production Workflow Support

• Ensure jobs move smoothly from order entry through production by validating artwork early in the process.

• Collaborate with production teams to adjust files based on equipment requirements and production efficiencies.

• Maintain organized digital file structures and version control.

• Support proof creation and approval processes when required.

Quality & Accuracy

• Review layouts and production files for accuracy, spelling, alignment, and formatting consistency.

• Ensure all artwork meets company production standards and client expectations.

• Troubleshoot artwork issues and recommend solutions before production begins.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR 

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field.  

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in pre-press, print production, or production design.

• Language Proficiency: Strong verbal, written, and English communication skills.  

• Working schedule: Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within US operating hours.  

• Industry-Specific Knowledge:

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:

    • Adobe InDesign

    • Adobe Illustrator

    • Adobe Photoshop

  • Advanced understanding of typography and page layout principles.

  • Working knowledge of print production processes and file preparation standards.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to interpret artwork instructions, job specifications, and client requests accurately.

• Salary Range: Php 40,000 - Php 45,000
