Develop a Strategy to improve the Visual impression of stores & the use of the store layout as a strategic tool
Responsible for optimizing the store layout to create a good overview and visual impact to provide the complete ‘Home Centre offer’ experience to our customers
Revised layout planning in all stores creating a strong destination
Lead, Inspire and Challenge the ID/VM function in Stores to use home furnishing knowledge and the understanding of peoples life at home with market relevant solutions to grow the business
Challenge & work with the Concept VM team and the Store VM managers to take actions that exploit commercial opportunities both in the short and long term
Secure that the territory commercial team has the right understanding of the store layout, range presentation and store communication
Conduct frequent floor walks and territory visits to ensure standards and implementation conforms to VM guideline requirements
Manage store opening schematics layouts and lead store opening workshops
Ensure all widows are displayed in line with specified marketing calendar/campaigns and comply with window guidelines and ensure these are presented to a high standard, including window signage, graphics and props
Seek feedback from colleagues and customers on the visual impact of displays and implementing changes when required to support the needs of the business
Identify and develop training opportunities to address merchandise presentation skill gaps
Build Store VM/ID competence and secure succession for future business growth by leading the process of creating a strategic plan for how to recruit, develop and retain high performing Store VM/ID team members
Conduct comparison shopping to maintain awareness of other retailer’ visual merchandising concepts
Partner with the COO and VM Manager to stimulate and increase interest in home furnishing throughout the organization
Manage all territory VM costs within budget
