About the role
Atrium is a YouTube channel focused on bringing history to life through immersive visual storytelling, from exploring Hitler’s final hours to recreating the conditions of Auschwitz.

We’re looking for a full-time 3D Camera Operator to help elevate the visual quality of our content.

This is a highly creative role for someone who thrives on storytelling through camera work. You’ll collaborate closely with the Channel Director to translate scripts into clear, compelling animatics that define the visual direction, pacing, and tone of each video.

Your work will act as the blueprint for animators, ensuring every scene is intentional, cinematic, and engaging from the start.

What You’ll Do

• Interpret scripts and define the visual storytelling approach
• Create high-quality animatics showcasing camera movement, timing, and scene composition
• Collaborate with animators to bring the vision to life
• Propose creative visual solutions when needed
• Maintain organized files and assets for smooth production workflows
• Review final outputs and iterate based on feedback

Must Have

• Several years of experience in animation (YouTube, film, or TV)
• Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine (5.6.1 preferred)
• Solid working knowledge of Blender for animatics creation
• Strong understanding of cinematic language (composition, timing, transitions)
• Ability to adapt visual style to different narratives
• Experience visualizing complex, abstract, or microscopic concepts
• Strong storytelling instincts with a focus on emotional impact
• Proactive, collaborative, and fast communicator

Nice to Have

• Experience managing animation pipelines
• Understanding of YouTube retention and viewer engagement
• Interest in storytelling psychology and audience behavior
• Willingness to contribute across different stages of production
